Book-lovers Unite!

Join local authors Bonnie Ouellet-Mathieu, Gary Grierson, and Matthew Del Papa on Sunday, August 27th from 2pm-5pm at the Northern Ontario Railroad Museum & Heritage Centre for Greater Sudbury’s 1st Annual Roving Outdoor Book Fair!
Sponsored by the Sudbury Writers’ Guild this one of a kind event will bring some of the region’s best writers to Capreol. Several of Greater Sudbury’s Poets Laureate will be featured. Expect lively readings and moving words from those seasoned poets. Members of the SWG will be on hand, selling a selection of their books—everything from horror to kid’s books will be available—and waiting to chat. If you (or a loved one) is an aspiring writer, an avid reader, or just curious about how publishing works…this is your chance to ask questions. Time permitting, some of these authors will read excerpts from their work too.
The Writers’ Guild are going to make a very special announcement at the ROBF and reveal the title of their next anthology—to be released in 2024, it is a collection of stories, poems, and photographs centring on the iconic Superstack!
The Sudbury Wordstock Literary Festival is hosting a table and, with this year’s edition marking Wordstock’s 10th anniversary, are happy to talk about the big plans in the works for their November event.
There will be raffles—for free books, naturally—and lots of friendly faces. The NORMHC is generously waiving their admission fee for the event (from 2pm-5pm) and attendance is free to the public.
