Reading Town Sudbury Returns

For those looking for some family-friendly fun there’s good news. Reading Town Sudbury is returning. And this time there’s a Capreol connection.

That’s right, our town’s own Bonnie Mathieu—author and illustrator extraordinaire—will be reading selections from her charming children’s books. We’ve posted a couple samples of her amazing artwork to give a taste of her talent.

Bonnie will not be alone. There will be other phenomenal local authors involved too. Be sure to tune in to each and be amazed at the imaginative creations the people of our region can conjure.

For 2021 the popular Reading Town Sudbury Ville Lecture will be offered as a virtual festival. But, of course, the event is so much more than a series of Zoom meetings. This year there will be opportunities for families and individuals to reconnect with the various story trails throughout Greater Sudbury. So, go outside, get some exercise, and read a story or poem while enjoying the fresh air. All events are COVID-19 safe and friendly.

The idea of this year’s festival is basically to raise awareness for the story trails program and to provide some fun activities for families at home by sharing social media content. See below for the press release. More information and festival programming is online at https://www.facebook.com/rtvlsudbury
