New Year’s Eve 2020

Good riddance! That’s what most of the world is saying to 2020. It has been a stress-filled year and we’ve all had our share of grief. Now is the time to ring out the old and ring in the new…or rather December 31 is the time. And, as the press release below notes, the Northern Ontario Railroad Museum and Heritage Centre once again has you covered.

2020 marked a lot of firsts at the NORMHC, both good and bad. Hosting a ‘Canadian themed’ New Year’s Eve podcast is definitely a good first. Not only is this event ‘socially distanced’ but it’s packed with local talent. Stef Paquette, a noted Francophone singer-songwriter, is just the first show stopping performer. Blues/rock musician Johnny Williams joins the bill. As does Joanne Pollack, a Nashville recording artist renowned for her ‘soulful’ sound.

Following the remarkable live performances there will be a virtual fireworks display by Dreamcatcher Fireworks.

And the night’s fun doesn’t stop there. Two Capreol restaurants, the Fire House Bar and Grill and Crusty’s Pizza will each be offering a special Canadian themed take-out menu. What could be better than dinner and a show? Hot and delicious local food combined with top-notch local entertainment…sign me up!
