Community Gardens

Thanks to our town’s numerous dedicated volunteers Capreol, is soon to once again open its community gardens. Available all summer to interested residents—at no cost!—these couldn’t arrive at a better time. Given the growing interest in home cooking it is a nice option to grow your own produce. No vegetables taste as good as those that you planted, tended, and harvested.

During these trying times, when people are becoming increasingly sedentary and housebound, a little gardening might be just what we need. Fresh air and some dirt beneath the fingernails are sure cures for the ‘stir-crazies’ we’re all feeling as spring turns to summer.

Be aware that social distancing rules will apply by alternating days.  Even-numbered gardens on even days and odd-numbered gardens on odd days of the month.

Please contact Trinity United Church at 705 858 2591 for more information. Thank you and stay safe.
