Friday the 13th—Cult Film to spawn special Terror Train 6077 Guest of Honour

Friday the 13th is more than just a date on the calendar. It is also the title of a highly successful film franchise. Anyone who grew up in the 1980s will remember, no doubt with a delicious little chill of fright, Camp Crystal Lake and its most infamous resident, Jason Vorhees. Debuting in theatres on May 9, 1980 the hockey-mask wearing serial killer became an instant and unforgettable horror icon. Thanks to Friday the 13th the ‘slasher’ genre found new life and a highly lucrative film franchise was launched (currently numbering eleven films). In the decades since it shocked filmgoers Friday the 13th has sparked numerous pale imitators.

But it is the FIRST Jason Vorhees, from original Friday the 13th film as played by Ari Lehman, that is coming to Capreol. The NORMHC is proud to announce that actor Ari Lehman will be in town for the opening of the museum’s immensely popular Terror Train 6077 on Friday, September 25, 2020—part of a truly unique horror-fan experience.

Hosted at the Capreol Community arena this Fan Expo event will feature Ari Lehman, the metal band he fronts ‘First Jason’, and a series of special treats—including fabulous rigs, wings, and other ‘campy foods’ with Lehman’s own line of signature ‘Slasher Sauce’ (all served up by Capreol’s own Fire House Bar and Grill). There will be an interactive Q&A during a taping of Eastlink’s popular ‘Talk Nerdy’, meet and greets, and autograph sessions. The Expo will be licensed.

This year will mark the Terror Train’s 10th Anniversary and the NORMHC is pulling out all the stops. Don’t wait, order your tickets now! Fan Experience tickets start at $46 with VIP Experience tickets starting at $56. Show-only tickets are also available.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 13, 2020 on the museum website at www.normhc.ca
