Capreol Cross-Country Ski Club Donates $1000.00

After another phenomenally successful Strawberry Shortcake fund raiser members of the Capreol Cross-Country Ski Club proudly present a check to representatives of the Bread and Roses Food Bank.

The ski club’s annual Strawberry Shortcake once again sold out—with people lined up at the door thirty minutes before the scheduled opening! Thanks to the delicious treats, baked by members with ingredients generously donated by local Capreol businesses, the club raised $1000.00 for our town’s food bank.

For those of you who missed out…better mark the calendar for next year. And arrive early. Those home-baked treats go fast!

Capreol’s Cross-Country Ski Club is one of the most active and welcoming in northern Ontario. Entirely volunteer run the club maintains some of the best trails around—with routes for beginners, seniors, and expert skiers—featuring beautiful scenery, encounters with wildlife, and a newly renovated chalet for an after-ski snack. Equipment rentals are available and fees are among the lowest in Sudbury.

The Bread and Roses Food Bank services Capreol. Donations are always welcome.

  1. It was nice to see pictures of the ladies at the ski hill.It would be much nicer if you added the names of all the women. All the folks who have been gone from Capreol for many years do not always recognize the folks for obvious reasons.
Your website fills the void of capreol on line .com.It is always nice to get news from home
    Wether good or bad.
    Keep it up.
